A road connecting northern and southern Mexico cuts through the small city of Zapotitlán Salinas, forcing all who pass to slow at a single speed bump, a tope. Filmed from daybreak to nightfall, the work observes this site as a zone of transmission where social worlds cross and temporalities overlap. A letter emerges as a fragile medium, carrying language across distance, loss, and historical rupture. Against the legacy of colonial extraction and contemporary disconnection, the film reflects on the erosion of intuition and shared meaning. In dialogue with a poem by Paul Éluard, the relationship between Master and Beauty is challenged not as decoration or domination, but as a relational act, a way of attending to what persists, resists, and continues to speak.
